The cultivation of mate starts with fresh seeds. When the plant grows to 7 cm, it is moved to the nursery garden, where it grows about 1 year, and then it is planted to its permanent place in the plantation. It takes about 4 years to complete its growth and development, and it needs care during all this period. The first harvest of fresh leaves and twigs usually is not big.
The production process consists of 4 stages:

2. Drying - 24-hour procedure in the drying room - eliminates the excessive moisture from the plant leaves and stalks.
3. Cutting - the process of cutting leaves and twigs - helps to the compact packing.
